The PARKINSON TERMINATOR-PROJECT relies on the partnership support of the entire population. First and foremost, of course, the patients themselves are in demand, and indeed those who have already received the diagnosis. That is about 300,000 mainly elderly ladies and gentlemen in Germany (over 60 years). But also middle-aged people account for a significant proportion of patients.
It is likely that more than 100,000 additional diagnoses could be made with the latest diagnostic procedures – Parkinson’s Disease, in which the first clinical symptoms only appear or are perceived during the coming months or years.
The disease can – according to current knowledge – meet everyone, the older the more likely. Therefore, the call to each one to engage in partnership, is quite justified.
